Episode #34: All About Brain Cancer Canada featuring Marc Peeters
Brain Cancer Canada is a national charity that supports people diagnosed with malignant brain tumours by funding research, technology and treatment. What makes BCC such an outstanding organization is the fact that it’s 100% volunteer run.
The Audacious Living Podcast is pleased to welcome Marc Peeters who serves as a director with Brain Cancer Canada to discuss the work they’re doing in the ongoing fight against Glioblastoma (GBM) and other malignant brain tumours.
Brain cancer research is drastically underfunded in Canada. Despite its incredibly low survival rate, it receives less than 3% of the total funding for cancer research. With generous support from its donors, Brain Cancer Canada is helping bridge the gap between ground-breaking research and life-saving treatments.
Brain Cancer Canada is in support of an awareness campaign currently underway to have May 17th recognized as National DIPG Day of Awareness.
