Being introspective is a conscious act of self-awareness that involves thinking about and analyzing our own individual thoughts and behaviors. We all haveba natural curiousity about ourselves and oftentimes its for this reason why we replay our own experiences and actions in the hopes of understanding who and how we are.

We are clearly the centers of our own attention and when we self-reflect through the introspection process, we can accept our imperfections and learn what we can from our failures. Self-introspection or looking inward is an important part of self-awareness and can help people gain insight into their own feelings and behavior.

“The more joined up, we are in our emotions internally, the more we are integrated, the more we own our feelings and our ideas of our gaps.”

Wendy Nash turned her personal journey into a career to support managers to become great leaders. The Australian based meditation coach primarily teaches startup founders and CEOs the art of introspection to navigate the emotionally, physically and financially taxing process of building a business. CEOs are the foundation of whether a company does well and whatever the CEO isn't owning within themselves is what gets played out at work. The more blind spots a person has, the less productive the workforce. To see behind blind spots, you need to make courageous inquiry, but do it kindly.

Wendy joins Audley on The Audacious Living Podcast to further discuss the process of introspection and why its important for each of us to take the time to own our blind spots.
