Episode #154: Life Lessons from Beijing, China Featuring Chancellor Jackson

“It’s not looking too good but we got to hold ourselves accountable. We can’t blame nobody for being in this ugly situation but as a man I made a choice and I knew the consequences now I have to live with it and take it to the chin”

Chancellor Jackson - Author of 14 Days in Beijing

Similar to ripples in a pond, our consequences have actions. Whether we realize it or not, everything we think and say and do has consequences which in turn help shape our future for ourselves as well as for others.

Every action causes a consequence either long-term or short-term. Some of them are reversible, and some of them can't be changed. Some are insignificant, having no important impact in our lives while others can impact our lives for the better or for worst. Bearing that in mind, it is very important to remember that we cannot escape the consequences of our actions. We create our destiny day after day, decision after decision and action after audacious action.

“I was locked up 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 15 men to one cell, nine wooden beds, three soups a day. All I had was one Tupperware bowl and one plastic spoon. 14 days.”
