Episode #155: Being a Ground Breaker! Featuring Mark Thompson

"I felt like when we were doing it, 27 years of the Mark and Brian program, it felt so huge to me, because we were more than just a successful morning show. We transcended that into television and some other things and I knew that even though it wasn't our intention, we were a part of some groundbreaking morning television."

Mark Thompson

Ground breakers are special individuals who possess the type of mindset that allows them to push past the status quo to forge new paths. These pioneers aren't concerned with what hasn't happened in the past, they instead blaze new trails and as leaders, they point the way, take the risks, and change the world for the benefit of others by showing new possibilities never yer imagined.

They have a vision for a different future, a faith that turns their dreams into reality, and a determination that cuts through barriers and obstacles.

Ground breakers are fearless individuals who aren't afraid to take calculated risks – and knowing that failure might be an option. They persistently push forward and see patterns as creators that others haven’t and can make a logical leap from current reality to a new one. Instead of just doing more with less, they find new and better ways of doing something.

Being a ground breaker or the first to do something isn't easy but if you're not afraid to break the status quo by questioning things, persistent enough to keep going in spite of making mistakes and can maintain your confidence - you’ve properly armed yourself to do new and audacious things.

“And just as I got right up next to the console, he goes, Hey, don't bump the record kid. My idol spoke those words to me and that became the title of the book.”
