Episode #46: The Power of Small Consistent Actions featuring Sam Demma
While it may not seem like it in the moment but small consistent actions have the potential to make a world of a difference in terms of making change, influencing others and having an impact. Those small steps can create a ripple effect which can add up over time and have the ability to propel us forward to bigger and better things.
Sam Demma is a youth coach and keynote speaker who at the age of 17 co-founded PickWaste, a grassroots initiative that brings people together to pick up trash in their communities. That experience confirmed to him how small, consistent actions could have a big impact.
“I picked up this coffee cup and that's when I realized there's garbage everywhere and I walk past it on the sidewalk every day. Why not take two seconds to just pick it up? So I started picking up garbage walking home from high school and a couple of weeks later, I realized this is a small action. I'm gonna keep doing it.”
Sam's goal is to provide students with the tools and strategies needed to become servant leaders in their schools, businesses, communities and in the lives of those around them.
He furthered his message of hope and inspiration to students through his 2021 graduation video. It served as a source of encouragement for those who were impacted by the pandemic and had their graduation cancelled or transitioned to a virtual celebration.
Sam stops by The Audacious Living Podcast to share his encouraging message of hope and influence.
